High Speed Steel Tap: The screw tap has high wear resistance, fast cutting speed, high strength and hardness, and long service life. With uncoated base substrate only, suitable for general purpose tapping.
Wide Applications: The thread tap is suitable for drilling mild steels, aluminum, iron, copper, stainless steel, hard plastic, processing through holes or shallow holes. Add appropriate tapping oil for higher quality internal threads and more durable taps.
Straight Flute Tap: Straight 3 flutes are ground to provide rapid downward chip removal for efficient threading, clear threads without burrs, right hand tapping direction. Micro taps are mainly used in clocks and watches for machining holes in wood and soft metals with low hardness.
Machine Taps: Used in drilling machines, tapping machines, automatic machines, machining centers, CNC, milling machines, not recommended for hand and electric drill tapping. Recommended feed speed: ordinary steel: 6-15m/min; harder steel material: 5-10m/min; stainless steel: 2-7m/min; cast iron: 8-10m/min.
