Our statue is based on the famous sculpture known as the “Diana of Versailles”.

The Diana of Versailles is a somewhat larger than life marble statue of the Greek goddess Artemis (Latin Diana) with a deer located in the Musée du Louvre, Paris. It is a Roman copy (1st or 2nd century BC) of a lost Greek bronze attributed to Leochares, circa 325 BC. The statue is also known as Diana à la Biche, Diane Chasseresse (“Diana Hunter”), Artemis the Chase and Artemis with the Hind.
