Description
Common nails they are used for general construction work and especially for framing and other structural work. The head is designed to accommodate the pointed tip of a nail set, making it easier to sink the nail without slipping and hollowing out the wood.
Advantages – The thickness of the nails makes them strong, but also more prone to splitting wood compared to thinner nails. Some carpenters blunt the nail tip to prevent splitting of the wood, although this means that the tip tears the wood fibers, slightly reducing the holding power.
Zinc plated galvanised steel nails are steel nails coated with a zinc-based product. The zinc coating provides extra protection and durability and prevents the formation of rust for a long time.
Universal use: they are most commonly used with 2 x dimensional wood for indoor and outdoor applications, trim and for nailing door frames and trims.
Installation Use a power tool or a hammer. Size: nail diameter – 3 mm. Length – 80mm Pack of 100.
